This Lorica Hamata is made from alternating dome riveted, Round, mild steel rings that have been finished with an oiled coating. Every row of links that have been riveted is followed by an alternating row of non-riveted, integrated links. This is done to bring down the man-hours required to create this armor and bring down its cost to the consumer. The shoulder pieces are lined with leather and the chest hooks are made of brass.
